The Cyclones had the ball to end the half, but they couldn’t separate themselves going into the locker room as Gilstrap missed a three bring the teams total to 0 for 8. He then ran over and blocked a three-quarters court attempt by Michael Dixon.
Missouri’s fast style of play has translated to a little sloppy play by both teams. The Cyclones have 9 turnovers while Missouri has 7.
The first half was very clean as the teams combined for 8 fouls. The Tigers however, have both Laurence Bowers and Steve Moore in foul trouble with 2 apiece.
Both teams have shot the ball well (50 percent for Missouri and 43.3 percent for Iowa State) .

Laron Dendy hit the deck on the last offensive possession, but after Craig Brackins got the steal, he was all alone. Dendy threw down a big one-handed dunk with his hand behind his head. The dunk got the Hilton crowd on their feet for the first time in the game. It also gave the Cyclones their first lead since the 18 min mark, although they have not trailed by more than 4 points all night.
