Ter'ran Benton

ISU defensive back Ter’ran Benton was injured in a car accident on Interstate 35 on Sunday.

According to a story in the Purcell Register (Seen here: http://bit.ly/4OJZEw), Benton and David Cato of the University of Iowa — a defensive back for the Hawkeyes — were on their way home to Arlington, Texas, when their car bumped an 18-wheeler and rolled into the embankment on the west side of the interstate.

The Register reported that Benton was taken to Norman Regional Hospital with an apparent head injury.

“They were real lucky,” Oklahoma Highway Patrolman Chris Bonny said after the accident. “They were two very nice young men.”
